Awareness, Inc. have released a report exploring business adoption of Web 2.0 technologies and the future of social media initiatives. Their findings suggest that employers are increasingly allowing staff to use social media applications in working hours. ReadWriteWeb provide further analysis of the findings.

Socialtext 3.0 ReleasedSocialtext

Socialtext launched v3.0 of their Enterprise Wiki platform with many new additions. Richer social networking (called Socialtext People) is included in the latest release as well as Socialtext Dashboard which enables users to build custom homepages. Socialtext also announced "an integrated Twitter for the enterprise" which they have called Signals. Susan Scrupski, BusinessWeek and ZDNet covered the launch in detail.


Connectbeam Spotlight 3.0Connectbeam

Connectbeam have released Spotlight v3.0 which includes Microsoft SharePoint and Outlook integration. Spotlight is a collaborative information sharing platform that makes it easier for co-workers to find and share information and connect with each other around projects. Connectbeam CEO, Puneet Gupta, outlines the new features at Content Management Connection. ReadWriteWeb also include Spotlight in a summary of Enterprise 2.0 platforms with Microsoft SharePoint Connectors.


MindTouch Deki for CRMMindTouch

MindTouch have partnered with Snaplogic to deliver Deki for CRM. The solution integrates with Salesforce.com and SugarCRM to deliver collaborative intelligence to CRM users so they can quickly get a rich and comprehensive view of all leads and customers. JobBlogsJobBlogs

JobBlogs launched a web-based service they describe as "CRM Meets Project Management" to move from a disjointed file/email exchange to an environment that's more connected, contextual and collaborative. The service provides workspaces that "pull everything and everyone together to get work done". Bill Ives covered the launch.

 

Event Reports

KMWorld and Intranets 2008

The 12th KMWorld and Intranets took place over three days in September 2008. This years event included a Enterprise2.0 track. Session material and slides are available at the KMWorld website. WikiSym 2008

Portugal was the host to WikiSym 2008: "The International Symposium on Wikis". Accepted research papers and other materials are available at http://www.wikisym.org/ws2008/proceedings. Alex Schroeder has provided comprehensive coverage of the event.


E20Forum
